If you’re on this journal, then you probably know that I’m a photographer mom. Photography has become an avenue for creativity on a personal level and a fulfilling source of income for my family. I love it. But something I love even more is my family. And beyond even that, is my God.
I also think that, if you’re looking at this journal, you’re probably one of the people I love talking to and working with. Someone who is balancing life, with all of its hats, as if you’re the Cat in the Hat on a rainy-inside-day. (Side note- even the Cat in the Hat dropped his balancing act!)
And, maybe you’ve got it all together, or maybe you don’t, but you could always use a little, real, and honest encouragement.
So, friend, here I am! Your local 'friend-who-also-happens-to-be-a-photographer,' writing to you about my "real-time" life, in the context of my faith, with the goal to offer encouragement. Encouragement that God is good. That you’re not alone. That I, just like you, care deeply about my family, their faith, and that we all finish the race and meet our God to hear, "well done good and faithful servant." And that big things come from little steps in the right direction. I know because I’m often taking baby steps in my slow growth in Christ. ;) So, if you're reading these journal entries, you're going to see some of my favorite work that I've created with my amazing clients, but you'll also see me, trying to live with eternity in mind and honor God through what he has entrusted to me.
Let's be friends,
Whatever you do, whatever your task may be, work from the soul (that is, put in your very best effort), as something done for the Lord and not for men, knowing with all certainty that it is from the Lord, not from men. that you will receive the inheritance which is your greatest reward. It is […]
This session seemed to take place on the first really chilly, like bone chilling chilly fall day in our lovely state of Virginia. We had super dynamic lighting as the last of the storm clouds moved out of the region, plenty of cold wind, and a very cute little red nose on Lissy as the […]
Oh, Virginia Falls. This beautiful autumn in Virginia morning was picturesque, but so, so wet! Thankfully, this sweet family of four was awake (with a newborn) with plenty of zest to give this early morning mini family session a go. They also happen to be from Pennsylvania, so there really wasn’t a chance to make […]
I’m back! And with an incredible senior session to-boot! It has been a while since I’ve posted to the journal here at the Fresh Walk Photography and Blog, and I’m so excited to be back on posting this incredibly colorful and fun urban style senior portrait session! …It’s not for a lack of great clients […]
Meet James, Devin, and their happy little girl, Lissy! This family session, in the early autumn of the Shenandoah Valley, was simply lovely. Well…with the exception of few bugs…;) My family loves this family. They are a family who seeks after the Lord, who work to have a loving home, and who value teaching their […]
Northern Virginia Brand Photographer, TRUE Whole Human Brand Session, wholistic health, kitchen, cooking and outdoor dining session. Small business, fun husband and wife team business owners.
A Legacy of Faith, Hope, and Love I know I say this all of the time…but family sessions are my favorites, and my passion! Especially when I am able to photograph a family who is living in a legacy that has been sculpted from the beginning of one marriage and the children they raised into […]
