If you’re on this journal, then you probably know that I’m a photographer mom. Photography has become an avenue for creativity on a personal level and a fulfilling source of income for my family. I love it. But something I love even more is my family. And beyond even that, is my God.
I also think that, if you’re looking at this journal, you’re probably one of the people I love talking to and working with. Someone who is balancing life, with all of its hats, as if you’re the Cat in the Hat on a rainy-inside-day. (Side note- even the Cat in the Hat dropped his balancing act!)
And, maybe you’ve got it all together, or maybe you don’t, but you could always use a little, real, and honest encouragement.
So, friend, here I am! Your local 'friend-who-also-happens-to-be-a-photographer,' writing to you about my "real-time" life, in the context of my faith, with the goal to offer encouragement. Encouragement that God is good. That you’re not alone. That I, just like you, care deeply about my family, their faith, and that we all finish the race and meet our God to hear, "well done good and faithful servant." And that big things come from little steps in the right direction. I know because I’m often taking baby steps in my slow growth in Christ. ;) So, if you're reading these journal entries, you're going to see some of my favorite work that I've created with my amazing clients, but you'll also see me, trying to live with eternity in mind and honor God through what he has entrusted to me.
Let's be friends,
indoor, in home, newborn session in Culpeper Virginia with Michelle Adkins and the Fresh walk photography. lively large family fresh 48 session full of fun and life.
This session seemed to take place on the first really chilly, like bone chilling chilly fall day in our lovely state of Virginia. We had super dynamic lighting as the last of the storm clouds moved out of the region, plenty of cold wind, and a very cute little red nose on Lissy as the […]
Oh, Virginia Falls. This beautiful autumn in Virginia morning was picturesque, but so, so wet! Thankfully, this sweet family of four was awake (with a newborn) with plenty of zest to give this early morning mini family session a go. They also happen to be from Pennsylvania, so there really wasn’t a chance to make […]
A Legacy of Faith, Hope, and Love I know I say this all of the time…but family sessions are my favorites, and my passion! Especially when I am able to photograph a family who is living in a legacy that has been sculpted from the beginning of one marriage and the children they raised into […]
those bright blue eyes- a three month marker session Isn’t it amazing how a baby’s smile literally brightens the room? This was such a happy session. I have so much fun photographing babies and children. There are laughs and funny faces, snuggles and snacks, and a good time all around. Maybe it’s because I have […]
At the Playground with the Neeley Family January in Virginia doesn’t necessarily mean freezing cold temperatures; and even if it did, this family was ready to brave those chills for this session! But it was still pretty chilly. Thankfully, Nicole and her crew brought along some delicious hot coffee which, when paired with this humorous […]
An evening with the Neff family This session was unique in that is was a “mini” family session. I was privileged to meet and get to know this beautiful family for only about 40 minutes, but it was a great time none the less! We met over at Culpeper, Virginias Mountain Run Lake Park to […]
