Winter has started rolling in here in Northern Virginia and the day of this maternity session was literally the first day the temperatures dropped. It also seemed to be the day that all the photographers in our area were out photographing their clients. When we arrived at the Blandy Experimental Farm, we were able to witness large family photos, a little pet photography, another maternity session, a senior session, and a couple of engagement sessions…all within our 1-hour window. It was intense…and pretty cool!
But I was photographing Ben and Jessica, a couple so relaxed and full of love and excitement for the arrival of their firstborn that no wave from winter or crowd of paparazzi would rock their boat, so it was all OK. And though my “trigger finger” went numb and we were all shivering by the end of the session, it was still so much fun. Almost like we were just hanging out and a camera just happened to be there as well.
Ben and Jessica, I’m so honored that you allowed me to photograph this incredibly special time in the life of your family. It really was encouraging and refreshing to see a couple who love each other deeply, who love the Lord even more, who love their precious baby girl and who still have enough love for the puppy with an old soul.
Thank you so much!
A special shout out to the amazing family who braved the cold after battling the flu to keep Remi safe during the session! It was so nice to meet you and get to know your story a little as well! Congratulations on your marriage and thank you for your help!
